Does adding outbound phone service require me to buy a phone?

Yes, a one-time phone purchase is required. Choose from either a VoIP desk phone or softphone. Click here for more on what VoIP phones are supported.

When a new Freedom800® desk phone is purchased, it is shipped already configured, optimized and ready to use. When received, all you need to do is plug the phone in to activate it. Once complete, you can immediately start making and receiving phone calls.

When a softphone is purchased, the software just needs to be configured to sync with your account on our digital phone network.

In either case, our team of in-house VoIP engineers are available to assist you in getting your phone properly installed and connected to our digital phone network.
